| Mati and Moli Mati and Moli, friends from the start. Mati, the filly, with her white heart. Moli, the border collie, with fur black and white. Always together, never out of sight. Alone in the pasture, with no one to tell. Poor little Mati, fell into a well. Moli was frantic, to the barn she ran. Looking for help, finding the man. He knew something was wrong, what could it be? He looked across the field, he could not see Mati. Kurt went into the field, looking around. And then, he saw it, the hole in the ground. He ran to his house, to make the call. Hoping Mati wasn’t, hurt from her fall. The red truck arrived, they came really fast. Soon they were kneeling, in the high grass. Down went the ladder, the man, and the rope. Help had arrived, now there was hope. Out of the hole Mati came, covered with muck. Not realizing, her great luck. Into the arms, of her loving master. Tired, and frightened, her heart beating faster. If Mati could talk, she would have a story to tell. Of her adventure that day, and her fall in the well. Now the danger is over, it is in the past. Their friendship is stronger, one that will last. Mati and Moli, friends until the end. Nothing is better, than a great friend. Written by: Sandra L. Ellis Copyright 2007 |
